PIG FARM

Sutnarka / University of West Bohemia (CZ)

Upcycled Joy and Playful Light

Pig Farm is a charming interactive installation that turns recycled everyday materials into an engaging public playground. A "herd" of glowing pigs, crafted from upcycled water barrels, invites visitors of all ages to rediscover the beauty of sustainable art through humor and physical activity.

Mounted on sturdy industrial springs, the pigs function as interactive ride-on sculptures. Visitors are encouraged to hop on and "ride" the pigs, triggering a rhythmic swaying motion. To further engage with the artwork, visitors can tap the pigs on their backs, which triggers a color change—shifting the glow from a soft white to a vibrant pink. It is a work that proves even industrial waste can be transformed into a visually exciting and joyful experience.
